Woman's body found washed up on beach at Shingle Street

A woman's body has been found washed up on a beach in Suffolk, police have said.

Two members of the public spotted the body of the woman, who police described as "elderly", at about 09:55 BST.

The body was found on the beach at Shingle Street, a hamlet near Hollesley.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said the death was being treated as unexplained and the identification process was in progress.
