Long Melford cannabis factory: Case against woman dropped

The case against a woman who was charged following the discovery of 1,300 cannabis plants in a Suffolk village has been dropped.

The plants were found at a house on Withindale Lane, Long Melford, in June.

Dung Hoang, 22, of Long Melford, was accused of producing cannabis, but the prosecution offered no evidence against her at Ipswich Crown Court.

Hung Tran, 18, of Long Melford is due to stand trial on the same charge later this year.

Another man, Hoc Nguyen, 18, admitted producing cannabis and was jailed for eight months in July.
