Two bailed after woman's body found in Bury St Edmunds house

Two men arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found at a house in Suffolk have been bailed.

Police were called to Anselm Avenue, Bury St Edmunds, at 10:20 GMT on Sunday by paramedics.

The men, aged 22 and 49, were arrested but have been bailed to report to police again on 9 January.

A post-mortem examination has taken place but the cause of the woman's death has not been ascertained. Further tests are to be carried out.

Formal identification of the woman has not yet taken place but her next of kin have been told of her death, a Suffolk Police spokesman said.

He said officers were trying to establish the circumstances leading up to the woman's death and asked anyone with information to contact police.
