A lorry has hit a bridge near Stowmarket, causing delays to train services.

The lorry struck the bridge on Pound Hill, Bacton, shortly before 13:00 GMT.

Suffolk Police said it became "wedged" under the bridge and was hit by a car after the initial collision. No-one was hurt.

Train services between Ipswich and Norwich were disrupted but the line reopened at 15:15. The lorry has been removed.

A structural engineer examined the bridge and deemed it safe, Suffolk Police said.
