Tim Yeo: Mixed reaction to MP's deselection

2 December 2013 Last updated at 16:52 GMT

The deselection of Suffolk MP Tim Yeo has been met with a mixed reaction among his constituents.

In a secret ballot the Conservative Association in South Suffolk decided not to adopt Mr Yeo as their candidate for the next election.

Last week, he was cleared of accusations that he abused his position to help green companies lobby ministers.

Mr Yeo, who has served as an MP for 30 years, can appeal against his association's decision but it is not clear if he will. Andrew Sinclair reports.
