Men and child held as group seen climbing from lorry near Hadleigh
Ten people have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences in Suffolk.
Police were called to the A1071 near Hadleigh shortly before 11:00 GMT after a report that people had been seen getting out of the back of a lorry.
Seven of the men are from Eritrea and two are from Sudan, the Home Office said. A child has been passed into the care of social services.
The men are due to be transferred to "immigration detention".
A spokesperson for the Home Office said: "When suspected illegal immigrants found on lorries are arrested by police, we respond quickly.
"Where someone is found to have no legal right to remain in the UK we will take action to remove them."
