Tobacco stolen in Suffolk Hollesley Bay prison break-in
Tobacco worth an estimated £3,000 was stolen during a break-in at a prison.
Police said 300 packets, due to be sold to inmates, were taken in a raid on the main store room at Hollesley Bay Open Prison near Woodbridge, Suffolk.
The theft, revealed by the Ipswich Star newspaper, happened between 16 and 17 June.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said no arrests had yet been made in the category D prison burglary and officers were investigating.
