Lowestoft Oulton Road house fire death 'not suspicious'

The death of an elderly man in a house fire at the weekend is not being treated as suspicious, Suffolk Police have said.

Fire crews were called at 10:39 BST to the property on Oulton Road North, Lowestoft, on Sunday and found the man, who was believed to be in his 80s.

Police said a post-mortem examination showed the cause of death was breathing in fumes from the fire.

The force said the man had not been formally identified yet.
