Man crushed by horse in Newmarket

A man is in hospital after being crushed by a horse in Newmarket.

An ambulance crew was called to Bury Road in the Suffolk town at 09:56 BST and treated a man, believed to be in his 20s, the East of England Ambulance Service said.

The service said he had suffered a hip injury.

The man was conscious when the crew arrived and has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for further treatment.
