Reigate and Banstead council gets development funding
A Surrey council has been given £1.3m towards the regeneration of two towns.
The New Growth Points cash is the final part of a £7.8m fund granted to Reigate and Banstead Borough Council.
The government money is to support the regeneration of Redhill and Horley town centres, Preston Estate and new neighbourhoods in Horley.
New Growth Points is a government programme to increase new housing supply levels to 240,000 homes a year by 2016.
Council chief executive John Jory said: "Reigate and Banstead Borough Council was the only local authority in Surrey to be conferred New Growth Point status."
