Man bottled after East Molesey taxi fare row

A man suffered serious facial injuries when he was struck over the head with a glass bottle following a row over a taxi fare.

Surrey Police said the victim, who is in his 40s, was attacked outside Hampton Court railway station in East Molesey at about 0200 GMT on Sunday.

The man had shared a taxi to the station with three unknown men from Teddington in south-west London.

Police said a row broke out over the fare after they arrived at the station.

The victim was taken to Kingston Hospital in south-west London where he was treated for serious facial injuries.
