Surrey Police car overturns and crashes on 999 call

A marked police car overturned while it was responding to an emergency call in east Surrey.

The vehicle crashed on the A23 London Road, Merstham, Redhill, at about 1915 GMT on Friday.

Surrey Police said an ambulance had been sent to the scene but nobody had been injured.

A section of the southbound A23 carriageway was closed temporarily while an investigation was carried out. The force has appealed for witnesses.
