England and Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard has pleaded guilty to speeding in Surrey.

Lampard was charged with exceeding the 50mph speed limit while driving his Range Rover on the A3 at Claygate on 30 March last year.

Staines Magistrates' Court heard the footballer had submitted a late guilty plea in writing to the Crown Prosecution Service.

A further hearing has been scheduled for 11 March.
