Lorry collision closes Godalming petrol station

A petrol station in Surrey has been closed for business after a collision in which a lorry driver was injured.

Police said significant damage was caused to the kiosk at Eashing Service Station, in Godalming, when a lorry hit a parked car on the forecourt.

The building was declared unsafe by Guildford council after it was also hit by the lorry on Thursday night.

The 63-year-old lorry driver was treated for minor injuries in hospital. The parked car was unoccupied.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving of the lorry driver beforehand, to contact them.
