A teenage boy who died after going missing when a dinghy capsized on a pond in Surrey has been formally identified as Alfie Rost-Skelton.

The body of the 15-year-old was recovered from Heathfield Pond in Cobham last Wednesday, a day after the inflatable boat overturned.

Police said the cause of death was found to be drowning.

He had been in the dinghy with a 17-year-old boy, who was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A search involving underwater dive teams was launched for Alfie after the boat capsized at about 1645 GMT on Tuesday.

It continued until 0200 GMT and resumed the next morning.
