£12,000 damage caused to vehicles in Spelthorne
Vandals have caused £12,000 of damage to vehicles in three incidents in the same night in an area of Surrey.
Police in the borough of Spelthorne said all the vehicles were parked outside properties when the attacks happened overnight on Sunday.
In Shepperton, a Renault Megane was covered in white paint, and a Ford Fiesta had a liquid thought to be paint stripper poured over it.
In Staines, three vehicles were covered in a liquid thought to be brake fluid.
Officers said they were not ruling out the possibility the cases were linked.
Anyone who has any information, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Upper Halliford Road and Wood Road, in Shepperton, and Hazel Grove, in Staines, during Sunday night and early on Monday morning is asked to contact police.
