The body of a man has been found in public toilets in Surrey.

Police were called to the scene by a member of the public on Sunday at about 1000 BST after the body was discovered at Tattenham Corner, Epsom.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said the man was thought to be in his eighties and was pronounced dead at the scene by the ambulance crew.

He added the circumstances surrounding the death were still being investigated and inquiries were ongoing.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later.
