Cigarettes worth £5,000 stolen from lorry in Surrey

Robbers have ambushed a supermarket delivery lorry, stealing £5,000 worth of cigarettes.

Surrey Police is appealing for information about the robbery, which took place in Oxshott Road, Leatherhead, just before 0630 BST.

Three men threatened the driver before stealing the items from the lorry, which was on a supermarket forecourt.

The gang, described as white and wearing grey hooded tops, drove off in a Vauxhall Astra.
