Man charged over Guildford garage stabbing

A man has been charged with assault after a customer was stabbed in the neck at a petrol station in Surrey.

The victim was attacked while at the pay window of the Total garage in Worplesdon Road, Guildford, in the early hours of Sunday.

A 34-year-old man from West Byfleet has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm, wounding with intent and possessing a weapon.

He is due to appear at Guildford Crown Court in June.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital but was treated and released.
