Boy hit by car in Farnham seriously injured

A 10-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital in London with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Farnham.

Surrey Police said the child was involved in the collision on the A325 West Street, on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the boy was taken by air ambulance to King's College Hospital in London. The driver of the Peugeot car was uninjured, officers added.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact the force.

Police said the collision happened at about 1530 BST near the junction with The Chantrys.

The road was closed while emergency teams dealt with the collision and carried out initial investigations.
