Woking men arrested after West Byfleet cyclist death

Two men have been arrested after a cyclist died in hospital following a collision with a vehicle in Surrey.

The cyclist was taken to St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, after the crash on the A245 Parvis Road in West Byfleet at 1945 BST on Sunday.

The vehicle believed to have been involved was traced to Dartmouth Avenue, Sheerwater. The two men arrested are from the Woking area.

Parvis Road was closed while accident investigators were at the scene.

Dartmouth Avenue was also closed to allow forensic examinations to take place.

Surrey Police have appealed for anyone with information about the accident to come forward.
