Surrey egg-farm burglary: Thirteen arrested

Thirteen people have been bailed after they were arrested carrying trays of eggs as they tried to flee an egg-producing farm in Tadworth, Surrey.

Police said two of the five cars used collided with each other as officers arrived at the egg-producing farm.

Several dozen trays, each containing 30 eggs, were taken, many of which were thrown at farm buildings and onto the M25 between junctions eight and nine.

Ten men and three women, aged between 16 and 21, were bailed until September.

Det Sgt Glenn Parker said: "We have a lot of work to do to unravel exactly what happened."

The burglary happened on Tuesday.
