Car hit by object thrown from M25 bridge in Surrey

A group of children are being sought after an object was thrown from a bridge over the M25 in Surrey, hitting a passing vehicle.

A BMW was travelling anti-clockwise between junctions 9 and eight, close to Walton-on-the-Hill, at about 16:50 BST on Sunday when it was struck.

Police said the driver was unhurt and managed to keep control of the car.

Three people, believed to be children, were seen throwing objects and a group of children were later seen on bikes.

Officers said the youngsters left the area heading towards Juniper Hill. They were all wearing helmets and one was wearing a yellow top.
