Killed pedestrian Michael Khan named by Surrey Police

A man who died after he was hit by a car in Surrey has been named by police.

Officers said Michael Khan, 36, of Surbiton in south-west London, was struck by a Mercedes at 01:00 BST on 11 September.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate him but he died at the scene of the accident in Croydon Lane, Banstead.

Minutes before the collision, Surrey Police received reports that a man had been spotted walking in the middle of the road.
