Boys bailed over Old Boatyard fire on A22 in Whyteleafe

Three teenage boys arrested over a fire that destroyed a derelict building in Surrey have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The A22 was closed for most of Tuesday after the suspected arson attack at the Old Boatyard in Godstone Road, Whyteleafe, just before 00:30 BST.

The blaze was brought under control but the three-storey building had to be demolished.

The teenagers, two aged 16 and one aged 15, have been bailed until 5 November.

One of the boys was arrested on Wednesday evening, while the other two were arrested on Thursday.
