Man arrested over burglaries in Woking

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a number of burglaries in the Woking area of Surrey.

Surrey Police said the arrest followed a break-in at Woking Conservative Club and an attempted burglary at the Robin Hood pub in St Johns.

The local man was questioned on Saturday and released on police bail.

The force is also investigating burglaries at two pubs in New Haw and Horsell High Street and break-ins at properties in Woking and Old Woking.

Surrey Police said all the incidents took place between 16 and 20 September and involved the theft of cash and on one occasion alcohol.
