Arson attack in Guildford destroys pub outbuilding

A fire at an outbuilding at a Surrey pub was started deliberately, police have said.

The blaze at the rear of the Apple Tree, in Southway, Guildford, on Thursday destroyed the structure and its contents.

Surrey Police believe the concrete prefabricated shed was set alight between 22:00 and 23:00 BST.

The force has appealed for witnesses to the fire, which caused an estimated £1,000 worth of damage.
