Mobile phone sought at Oxted sex attack scene

Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl in Surrey are trying to find a mobile phone left near where she was attacked.

The teenager was assaulted in Master Park, off East Hill Road, in Oxted, on Saturday night.

Surrey Police said the mobile phone could help with their inquiry.

Officers have urged anyone who has found a phone near the park, Oxted railway station or surrounding roads to contact the force urgently.

'Approached in alley'

Three teenagers were arrested after the attack, which happened between 20:30 BST and 20:50 BST.

A 17-year-old boy from Redhill and a 15-year-old boy from Guildford remain in police custody.

A third boy, a 15-year-old from Redhill, has been released pending further inquiries.

Police said the victim had spent the evening at a nearby fairground with a friend and was walking through an alley at the back of the park alone, when she was approached by a group of men who engaged her in conversation and then attacked her.
