Staff attacked in Surrey petrol station ram-raid

Two masked men drove a car into the front of the shop at a Surrey service station and attacked a member of staff.

The attack happened at the Eashing BP garage kiosk at about 02:30 GMT on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old staff member suffered minor injuries and the masked men got away with about £50 from the till. An empty cash machine was also taken.

The vehicle's rear bumper was left at the scene and Surrey Police believe it was from a black Ford Mondeo car.

Det Con James West said the car is possibly a 1993 - 1996 model.

He said: "If anyone notices a car of this description with a bumper missing being used or parked in the locality, I need to know its whereabouts and that of the ATM machine which may have been discarded."
