Four-vehicle crash shuts M25 in Surrey

The M25 was left shut in both directions in Surrey following a crash involving four vehicles.

The Highways Agency said the anti-clockwise carriageway remained closed between junction 11 at Chertsey and the Wisley interchange at junction 10.

The clockwise carriageway, which was initially shut, has since reopened. Drivers were urged to avoid the area.

The air ambulance was called to the scene of the crash, involving two cars and two vans.

It is not yet known if there were any casualties.

All lanes of the motorway were reopened at 12:45 GMT.
