Jewellery stolen in Redhill's Belfry Centre raid

Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen after burglars raided a shopping centre in Surrey.

Police said a large window of the H Samuel store in Redhill was smashed after the Belfry Shopping Centre was broken into at about 03:00 GMT.

Several glass cabinets inside the shop were smashed before a selection of jewellery was taken. No other shops in the centre were damaged.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to call them.
