Two people rescued from Guildford derelict house fire

Two people have been rescued from a fire in a boarded up house in Surrey.

The fire broke out in a row of derelict terraced houses in Woodbridge Road, Guildford, just after 05:00 GMT.

Firefighters had to force their way into the building and found the two people on the first floor, and led them to safety.

Crews used thermal imaging cameras to try to find if anyone else was trapped. A joint fire and police investigation into the cause is under way.
