Guildford bookmakers' staff threatened with knife

Two members of staff have been threatened with a large knife in a betting shop robbery in Surrey.

A man went into the Coral bookmakers in Stoughton Road in Guildford at about 22:15 GMT on Tuesday and stole hundreds of pounds from the till.

He then ran off Stoughton Road towards the canal tow path.

The suspect was described as white, in his mid-20s, of short stocky build and with dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue hooded top.

Surrey Police said that the staff members were not injured in the attack.
