Surrey University halls of residence burgled four times

Students at the University of Surrey have been warned by police to be extra vigilant following a series of burglaries this week.

Police said halls of residence in Guildford had been burgled four times with laptops, iPads and small pieces of electrical equipment taken.

Three of the burglaries happened on Tuesday and one on Monday.

Police have advised students to keep their windows locked if the room is not occupied.

The suspects are described as two white men, both 6ft tall, aged 20 to 25-years-old and clean shaven.

One man is described as being of a chubby build with slightly ginger or blond hair. He was wearing a hooded top.

The second man is described as slimmer than the first, with dark brown or black short hair. He was wearing a dark or navy coloured zipped hooded top.
