Surrey Police: Silverware haul dumped in Guildford

A haul of silverware including engraved plaques, tableware and jewellery has been discovered dumped in Guildford.

Police said a bin bag containing more than 30 items was found behind a block of garages in the Bellfields area of the town.

Det Con James West said: "At this stage it not clear where the goods came from or when they were taken."

The items include a plate with the inscription Ackworth School 1979, while a silver mug with the initials DBL.

The haul also includes a perfume bottle, mugs, knives, forks and rings, as well as a tea pot and cake stand.
