Surrey Police tackle danger parking at Greville school

A crackdown on dangerous parking near a primary school has begun after efforts to persuade motorists failed, Surrey Police have said.

Police and council officials have promised robust action against anyone parking illegally near Greville Primary School in Ashtead.

Officers said the problem posed a "genuine threat" to safety.

"Attempts to educate inconsiderate motorists to change their behaviour have had limited effect," police said.

Police also said dangerous parking was one of the most common complaints that had been raised in the area.
