Camberley Town Centre development proposals go on show

Proposals for new homes and improved transport connections in Camberley town centre have been put forward by Surrey Heath Borough Council.

An exhibition of how the town centre could develop over the next 15 years is on show at the Surrey Heath Museum.

Residents and businesses are being asked their views on outline proposals which include plans for up to 200 homes and new shops in the town.

Improved pedestrian access and public spaces are also recommended.

Some work has already been carried out on the town centre in recent years with the redevelopment of Park Street and the opening of the Atrium centre in 2008, and the formation of a business district in 2011.

The consultation period and exhibition closes on 23 April 2012.
