Eleven arrested in Surrey and London drugs raids

Eleven people have been arrested during raids to tackle drug-dealing in Guildford - four of them at Highdown Prison in Surrey.

Surrey Police said eight addresses were targeted in Guildford and two in London during early-morning raids.

The force said six men and a woman were in custody and a further four people were arrested at HMP Highdown.

All of them were held on suspicion of supplying and selling Class A and Class B drugs.

Sgt Amy Buffoni said she expected further arrests to be made later.

She said this was the third phase of an operation to target dealers bringing drugs into Guildford borough.

Police raids in January led to 26 people being charged, she added.
