Two bailed over Walton football stadium attack

Two men have been released on police bail after a man was attacked following a football match in Surrey.

The victim, believed to be a Walton supporter, suffered head injuries in the incident at the main gate of the Walton stadium on Saturday.

The two men, aged 45 and 47, from Essex, were arrested on suspicion of assault at the scene in Stompond Lane after Walton had played Brentwood.

Surrey Police said they were released on conditional bail until 25 October.
