Two men break into sleeping Epsom woman's bedroom

Two men who broke into an elderly woman's bedroom in Surrey while she was asleep are being hunted by police.

Surrey Police said the men entered the house in Ashley Road, Epsom, through a downstairs window before carrying out a thorough search.

They then forced their way into the woman's bedroom, only leaving after she told them she had called police.

The break-in took place between 21:00 and 21:30 GMT on Wednesday. It is not known if anything was taken.

Det Sgt Penny Goodale, from Surrey Police, said: "This was an appalling incident and one which has left the victim extremely shaken and therefore I ask anyone with information, no matter how insignificant they may feel it is, to contact us."
