Surrey natural burial ground meadow planted in Clandon

Farmland has been planted with meadow flowers to create a natural burial ground in Surrey.

Clandon Wood, which is at the base of the Surrey Hills, in West Clandon, has opened for burials.

Native trees will be planted in the new year and a lake to encourage wetland wildlife has already been dug.

Six people have been buried in the 25 acre site, which is intended to be self-sustaining and uses coffins made from biodegradable materials.
