Medical students at the University of Surrey are to benefit from closer working links with the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

The two organisations have announced a new partnership that will see them working more closely with the aim of developing pioneering research.

They have formed the Clinical Academic Collaboration to "strengthen and build upon existing relationships".

More scientists and NHS staff will work on joint research funding, they said.
