Motorcyclist killed in Reigate crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a car in Reigate.

It happened just before 08:00 GMT when a black BMW and a red Honda motorcycle were travelling on the A217, close to the junction with Ironsbottom.

Surrey Police said several other vehicles also collided after the initial crash.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, police said.

There were no reports of other injuries.

There are road closures in place on the A217 while emergency crews and investigators are at the scene.

Any witnesses are asked to contact the police.
