Taxi driver punched and racially abused in Surrey

A taxi driver was punched and racially abused after attending a hoax pick-up call in Surrey.

Police have appealed for information following the attack in Lakeland Drive, Frimley.

After the driver was called to collect a group of men at 03:45 BST one of the group told him it was a hoax, before a second punched him in the face.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with racially aggravated assault following Sunday's attack.
