A man has pleaded not guilty to rape in connection with an alleged attack on a woman in her 20s in a Surrey park.

Colin Andrew Ford, 58, from Fernhurst Road, Croydon, appeared at Guildford Crown Court.

The alleged assault happened at Whyteleafe Recreation Ground, in Hillbury Road, Whyteleafe, in the early hours of 18 May.

Mr Ford was bailed to appear at the same court on 12 August.
