Surrey Police reinstates finance chief Paul Bundy

The head of finance at Surrey Police who was sacked for gross misconduct, has been re-instated after an appeal.

Paul Bundy was removed last month after allegations of failure to disclose a change in personal circumstances and mishandling of internal information.

An appeal hearing found the allegations had been proven but a final written warning was a "more proportional sanction", police said.

The misconduct was not related directly to his position, a spokesman said.
