Armed intruders break into flat in Surrey

Three people have been arrested after intruders forced their way into a flat in Surrey in what police have said was a "frightening ordeal".

Detectives said the raiders forced their way through the front door of the property behind shops in Brighton Road, Salfords, at about 01:00 GMT on Monday.

Two of the offenders, wearing hoods, threatened the occupants with weapons, before they all fled with nothing.

Surrey Police are carrying out patrols in the area.
