Watches stolen in six-second Epsom pawnbroker raid

Watches worth £12,000 have been stolen from a pawnbrokers in Surrey in a six-second smash and grab raid.

A man wearing a motorcycle helmet smashed a glass case at Johnny Cash in High Street, Epsom with a hatchet and took two Rolex watches.

He escaped as a passenger on a motorbike waiting outside the Princess Alice charity shop in Church Road.

Surrey Police have appealed to anyone with information about the raid, at 15:49 BST on Sunday, to come forward.

The two items stolen were a men's 18 carat yellow gold diamond-faced watch and a women's stainless steel Oyster model.

The raider was slim and was wearing a dark blue helmet with white skulls on both sides, a dark blue or black zip-up jumper, grey tracksuit bottoms and black and white trainers.
