Mystery over injured man found in road in Surrey

A man has been found with serious head injuries in the middle of a Surrey road.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was found in Breech Lane in Walton on the Hill at about 01:30 BST, police said.

He was taken to hospital in London where he remains in a serious condition.

Police said it was unclear if he had been hit by a vehicle or had been assaulted and asked witnesses to contact them.
