Armed robbers steal cash at pub in Chipstead

A man was kicked in the chest and threatened with a gun during an armed robbery at a pub in Surrey.

The attack happened in the White Hart pub in Hazlewood Lane, Chipstead, at 00:40 GMT.

A man and a woman were locking up the pub when two men wearing balaclavas and dressed in black entered.

After the male member of staff was kicked in the chest the robbers were shown to the safe and left with a haul of cash.

Surrey Police said a third robber was waiting outside.

Det Con Simon Evans said: "If you were in the pub that evening before it closed please get in touch with us immediately as we are keen to hear about anything suspicious that you may have seen or heard."
